Interns are initially enrolled in NS 7426, a six-credit hour course, for the standalone DI. NS 7426 is a pass/fail professional course which provides a final grade of “Satisfactory” (S) or “Unsatisfactory” (U) at the end of the program. Full standards for earning a “Satisfactory” are listed below.
Interns also enrolled in the Master of Science program will earn six credit hours towards the degree by enrolling in increments of 1-6 credit hours of NS 5420 throughout the 22-month long program. NS 5420 enrollees will enroll in a total of 6 credit hours by the completion of their internship and will earn a letter grade for each enrollment. Interns will complete all CRDN ACEND Competencies by the end of the six credit hours but will not address every competency in every semester of enrollment. Failure to earn a score of 3 or 4 on all competencies throughout the six enrollment hours will result in a grade of an “Incomplete,” where the student must correct their score via work deemed appropriate by program director and/or preceptors to earn a passing grade of an “A.”
In addition to the graduation requirements outlined in the OUHC Student Handbook, in order to successfully pass the DI, earn a certificate from the University, and receive a verification statement from the program, the intern must:
-
