19.4 - Health and Liability Insurance

All interns in the College of Allied are required to have health insurance coverage. Interns may purchase health insurance through the Office of Academic and Intern Services in the College of Health Building.

All College of Allied Health Interns having patient contact (including interns) are required to carry general liability insurance. The College has a policy with American Casualty Company of Reading, PA. Representing agent is Healthcare Division of Affinity Insurance Services, 159 East County Line Road, Hatboro, PA, 19040-1218. The limits of liability are $1,000,000 each claim and $3,000,000 aggregate. The cost maintains coverage from August 31st through August 31st of the following year. The College of Allied Health Intern Council has assumed the cost of the liability insurance in the past. Interns would be notified should such change. Preceptors are provided proof of intern liability insurance on the first day of the initial rotation.
